What
is so special about our
light therapy treatments?
Choices
uses two unique state
-of-the-art light treatment
systems that together create
our SynerGsystem. These
systems work together to
restore skin to a more youthful
state. They will tighten your
skin and reduce fine lines and
wrinkles. They will also
reduce brown spots from sun
damage and aging, and red
blotchiness from spider
vessels or rosacea. Rough skin
texture will improve over the
treatment series.
Are
light therapy treatments
safe and effective?
The
treatment is very safe
and effective for the skin. There
are many advances in the
technologies that make them
unparalleled for skin safety,
without compromising the
effectiveness of the
rejuvenation treatment. There
are no long-term health
hazards from light generated
by the two systems. Both have
been used for many years in
medicine and aesthetics
without adversity.
What
results can I expect
from my treatments?
Each
treatment will result in
gradual lightening and
improvement of pigmented
and vascular imperfections.
You will probably be aware of
some decrease in fine lines
and wrinkle immediately and
the quality of your skin will be
noticeably better immediately.
Pigment spots and small blood
vessels will be temporarily
more apparent in the days after
treatment but will markedly
diminish at 2 to 3 weeks after
treatment. Improvement will
continue for several months
and will be markedly
augmented by the second
treatment.
How
frequently do I need
treatments?
The
first treatment for facial
skin rejuvenation will be with
both light therapy systems.
We suggest you receive at least 2
treatments 1 month apart. The
preferred Premiere Package
is
for 4 treatments over the first
7-8 months.
Does
the treatment hurt?
The
treatments are considered
painless. One of the treatments
evokes a sensation that is often
described as "hot pinch",
or
"snapping" feeling. The
sensation only lasts for a
fraction of a second. You may
feel warmth or a tingling
sensation for a short time
afterward. Part of the
treatment will be accompanied
by blowing very cold air at the
treatment site. This usually
eliminates or markedly
reduces any discomfort.
What happens after each
treatment?
Temporary
pinkness in the
skin lasts a very short time,
and almost all people return to
work or normal activities
immediately after treatment.
The improvement in
pigmented and vascular
irregularities can usually be
appreciated as early as the
next day and certainly by the
time you return for your next
light therapy treatment a
month later. Brown spots and
some small blood vessels
temporarily get darker before
they lighten.
Who should get light
therapy treatment for skin
rejuvenation?
Anyone who wants to improve
the signs of sun damage and
aging in the skin, such as
pigmented and vascular
irregularities, uneven or rough
skin texture. Skin
rejuvenation can be done on
the face, neck, chest, hands,
and arms. Discuss your
candidacy for this treatment

How
does light therapy get
rid of my pigmented spots
and small blood vessels?
Choices
uses state-of-the-art
light treatment to affect the
pigment and blood vessel
cells. This heats the cells,
which means that gradually
over several treatments, there
is a permanent reduction in the
amount of pigment and small
blood vessels in that area.
Is
light treatment therapy
safe and effective?
Light
treatment is very safe for
the skin. There are many
advances in the technology
that make it one of the safest
pigment removal systems
available. There are no long-
term health hazards. It has
been used for many years in
medicine and aesthetics
without adversity.
What
kind of results can I
expect from my treatment?
Each
treatment will result in
less pigment and small blood
vessels. It usually takes more
than 1 treatment to affect all
the cells in an area. Most
people achieve satisfactory
clearance after 1 or 2
treatments, but individual
results vary depending on
medical and genetic factors.
How
frequently do I need
treatments?
The
treatments are usually
performed every 1-2 months,
but this depends on individual
factors that your Choices
technician will discuss with you
during consultation..
Does
the treatment hurt?
The
sensation is often
described as "hot pinch",
or
"snapping" feeling. The
sensation only lasts for a
fraction of a second, and you
may feel warmth or a tingling
sensation for a short time
afterward. A special unit that
generates very cold air can be
used to reduce discomfort if
necessary.
What happens after each
treatment?
The
pigment spots will turn
very dark and may look like
coffee grounds. The blood
vessels will appear darker.
This indicates you can expect
a good result. The pigment
and blood vessels will
diminish or disappear over a
three-week period as the skin
sheds the abnormal cells
and replaces them with normal
ones.
Who
should get Choices
light treatment for pigment
and small blood vessel
reduction?
Anyone
who wants to reduce
or eliminate unwanted
pigment or small blood
vessels. This includes freckles
and aging spots. Isolated,
raised or spots rapidly
changing size should not be
treated and should be
evaluated by a dermatologist.
There are a few medical
conditions that contraindicate
people from this treatment,
which will be discussed with
your Choices aesthetic
consultant. |
How
does light therapy get
rid of my hair in various
parts of my body?
Choices
uses state-of-the-art
light treatment to affect
follicles that are currently
active at the time of treatment.
These follicles will soon die
and the hairs from them
will not grow again.
Are
light therapy treatments
for hair removal safe and
effective?
The
treatment is very safe and
effective for hair reduction or
removal. There are many
advances in the technologies
that make them unparalleled
for safety, without
compromising the
effectiveness of the treatment.
There are no long-term health
hazards from light generated
by our systems. They have
been used for many years in
medicine and aesthetics
without adversity.
What
results can I expect
from my treatments?
Each
light treatment will result
in less hair coming back, as
well as hair growing
progressively lighter in color,
finer, and slower growing. It
takes more than 1 treatment to
affect all the follicles growing
in an area. Most people
achieve satisfactory results
after 3-5 treatments, but
individual results vary
depending on medical and
genetic factors. Lighter
colored hair may require more
treatments than darker colored
hair. You should not have any
hair removed until you are
sure you want to be
permanently rid of it as it will
probably never grow back.
How
frequently do I need
treatments?
The treatments are usually
performed every 2-3 months,
but this depends on individual
factors that your Choices
aesthetic consultant will
discuss with you during your
consultation.
Why
do I need multiple
treatments for hair
removal?
When you are first treated
only a portion of your hair
follicles are active, the rest are
dormant. The active ones
respond to the light therapy
and the dormant ones do not.
This is normal, but requires
that multiple treatments are
essential to eventually treat all
hair follicles.
Does
the treatment hurt?
The sensation is often
described as "hot pinch",
or
"snapping" feeling. The
sensation only lasts for a
fraction of a second, and you
may feel warmth or a tingling
sensation for a short time
afterward. A special unit that
generates very cold air can be
used to reduce discomfort if
necessary.
What
happens after each
treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the
skin lasts a very short time,
and you can return to work or
normal activities immediately
after treatment. The treated
area will "shed" some
hairs
over the next 3-4 weeks, and
you may experience a period
of hairlessness in the area
while you wait for your next
treatment.
Who
should get light
therapy treatment for hair
removal?
Anyone who wants a solution
to shaving, waxing, plucking,
or electrolysis. There are a few
medical conditions that
contraindicate people from
this treatment, which will be
discussed with your Choices
aesthetic consultant. |
